The Holistic Mind Certification™
What is The Holistic Mind Certification™?
The Holistic Mind Certification™ - Is a training designed to take you, your practice, and your world to the freedom, healing, and peace that you have been looking for. The Holistic Mind Certification gives you powerful ways of thinking differently, starting the healing process, learning to control your future, it is simply a powerful foundation for when the really deep work starts to happen during the Mind Mastery Certification. Most healers get into the business of healing not for the money, not for recognition, not to get their ego stroked. Most healers are in the business of healing because they want to be for others what was missing in their own lives or to be able to give back what once was given to them.

However somewhere along the way, we realize that we are giving from an empty cup, and instead of giving the best of ourselves, we are giving the rest of ourselves. So we feel tired, burnt out, we’re struggling financially, things irritate us and we don’t know why, and we’re divided between helping others and desperately needing to care for ourselves. And I can say we, because I’ve been licensed as a Massage Therapist since 2010, it’s how I found the amazing body of work I now get to share with people through coaching and training.

So, The Holistic Mind Certification™ is a training designed to give you 3 modalities and 4 Certifications that will start to give you the mindset and healing to have the life that you want. You learn the basics of how to transform your life, evolve yourself with intention, and improve the world around you just by healing yourself through Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Time Line Therapy®, Hypnosis, and NLP Coaching.

Why do you want to learn more about these modalities? NLP teaches you new ways of thinking, it gives you options for more resources, it has tools for making powerful achievable goals, and getting clear in life. It is your golden ticket into the life that you want!

Time Line Therapy® is important for helping people to release negative emotions and limiting beliefs on the past. When we can let go of negative emotions and limiting beliefs, our body can calm down and we can have better control of our emotions. Life is easier to manage when you can focus on the present and plan for the future, versus focusing on the past and all the things you no longer want.

Hypnosis, is such a versatile technique. Whether one is helping people to make change, reinforcing the change that one has already helped them to create, or inserting, at the subconscious level, powerful suggestions for the future. Hypnosis is powerful enough to be taught all on it's own.

However, if you put all 3 of these modalities together you get one super powered combination. What one technique is weak in the others balance it out. Allowing us to create deep powerful positive change for our clients and patients.

NLP Coaching is a structure to use these tools in an ethical, ecological, and functionally powerful way. In this section of the training we teach you who you can legally work with and what problems you can solve for them, the difference between NLP Coaching and other modalities, and the framework for your future coaching sessions.

Learn More About NLP Mastery
Neuro Linguistic Programming is a way of thinking and a series of techniques modeled from successful practitioners from various fields of Mental Health and Thought. From Fritz Perls, to Milton Erikson, Virginia Satir, Ivan Pavlov, Paul Watzlawik, Albert Korzybski, and so many more. In fact that is what NLP is, it is a way of modeling that leaves behind a trail of techniques that we get to learn and install in ourselves.

How did NLP come to be? In 1975 Richard Bandler who was a student at Santa Cruz University was editing a book for Fritz Perls, and decided that he could actually do Gestalt Therapy, and so he began to do just that. Turned out he was pretty good at it too, this made him realize that he had a special gift of being able to model another. He was able to take something that worked that someone else was doing and break it down into a process that could be learned by others.

So, Richard Bandler joined forces with John Grinder who was a linguistics professor. And together they developed the notion of NLP being an attitude and a methodology. To be able to notice in another excellent behavior and put that behavior on themselves, so that they could use that behavior themselves.

NLP is just that Neuro, which pertains to the mind and our nervous system, by which we filter our experiences through visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory senses. Linguistic, which is our language and other ways that we communicate physically through our internal representations. We use these to code, organize, and give meaning to our experiences, using pictures, sounds, feelings, tastes, smells, and our self-talk. Then Programming, this is our ability to discover and use the programs that we run inside. We use this ability to discover the programming so that we can reprogram our neurology to achieve our desired outcomes.

How do we do this? With NLP we look for patterns, because it’s not so much what you think but HOW you think. You may be wondering what that means, and it simply means there’s a structure to how we think and using that structure we can find what holds unuseful thoughts, behaviors, and strategies in place, then use that structure to make deep impactful change.

At the Practitioner level you learn the NLP Communication Model. Now the NLP communication model simply states that we have an external event come in and through our filters of time, space, matter, energy, language, memories, decisions, meta programs, values, beliefs, and attitudes with these filters we then delete, distort, and generalize this information. Once we have deleted, distorted, and generalized the information this gives us an internal representation, which then effects how we feel and our physical body. Our internal representations, state, and physical body then gives us our behavior…which may or may not be useful.

What do we use to create change in our programming? We start by changing how people think with the Presuppositions of NLP, which are useful beliefs that we can adopt about ourselves and others. While these beliefs aren’t necessarily true, when you look at people this way it’s a powerful position to create change. Then there’s Sensory Acuity, how to notice minute physiological changes in another, this is important information when doing change work or communicating. Rapport is another important tool in NLP, it’s being able to create almost instant likeability upon meeting.

We also use the words people like to use, we call these Predicates, they relate to sensory based representations. Someone who is highly visual will use lots of sight words, while and auditory person will use sound words, and a kinesthetic person will use lots of feeling and touching words, and then you have people that are very auditory digital and the words they will lean towards are ones like knowing, understanding, learning.

Then NLP has a process of understanding Eye Patterns, and how to elicit them so you can understand what is going on inside another person’s head. This is useful in conversations and working with people’s strategies. This is all just learning what to look for, how to look for it, and what it’s useful for.

Theres a language section that has a couple of different ways to help people to create change. There’s the Milton Model, which is a way of asking questions that is artfully vague, it has people get less specific which then frequently solves a problem. Then we have the Meta Model, and this is where we get more specific, this is useful when people are too vague and they are deleting, distorting and generalizing too much. This all falls under the umbrella of chunking up or chunking down, which is made understandable with the Hierarchy of Ideas.

This is all the conscious use of language. There’s also a section about Presuppositions, which is a powerful understanding of what facts can be taken from a sentence. We also have ways to create Metaphors or stories that can help people to create change, without ever having to do any change work. Now we get into the techniques which create change in people’s lives.

The first one we usually talk about is SubModalities, and SubModalities are subsets or minor distinctions in our visual, auditory, and kinesthetic internal representations. We can use these to make quick changes for people, like taking a food they like too much and making it so they don’t like it, or changing a belief, or giving more options for a behavior or minor emotion to the current one.

From Pavlov’s work of stimulus response, we utilize Anchoring, and this is a way of intentionally creating an anchor associated with a feeling and using it to create a resource, or collapse a minor problematic emotion, or create a link from an unresourceful behavior like procrastinating to a resourceful behavior like being motivated. Really useful, especially when you are in stressful situations and need to access calm confidence, or be motivated, or not get irritated about something.

Then NLP offers a way to notice Strategies, discern unuseful ones, design new ones, and install a new strategy if it is necessary. So if you like to buy a lot of stuff but then your always returning it, this may be a strategy you want to change. There are Motivation strategies, Decision making strategies, Love strategies, Learning strategies, if it’s something you do there’s a strategy for it.

There’s also a way to use NLP in Negotiations and Mediation, the 5 Step Sales Process, and Reframing. Lastly there is the darling technique of NLP, and that is Parts Integration. We are a fractured society, and this has created fractures in our neurology. In NLP we call these Parts, and these Parts have become functionally detached from the rest of our neurology. With Parts Integration we can help those parts to notice they were once part of a larger whole, and we show them how to reintegrate.

When we do this it creates a new level of wholeness inside of us which then allows us to be more decisive, congruent, and more able to go after our goals in life. And that is what NLP is in a snap shot, it’s so much more than this, however it has to be experienced to be truly understood.

Learn More About Time Line Therapy®
Time Line Therapy® is a technique that helps individuals release negative emotions, limiting beliefs, and internal conflicts rooted in past experiences, it was developed by Tad James. This technique allows a client to access and change their deepest held beliefs, decisions, strategies, and significant emotional events assisting in emotional healing and personal transformation.

Time Line Therapy® uses how an individual unconsciously stores their memories, in an organized sequence, either front to back, left to right, or some other direction in relation to the persons body.
Time Line Therapy® uses active imagination to release major negative emotions (like anger, sadness, fear, and guilt) and limiting beliefs (such as “I’m not good enough”) that are attached to conscious or unconscious past experiences and are driving current unwanted behaviors. It is also an excellent way to release Phobias and Anxiety.

Clients are guided to the first event of a negative emotion or a limiting belief, without re-experiencing the associated event. This is so that a client can gain new learning's from these events, release the negative emotions tied to them, and notice that they have more options than what they thought they did. After clearing up the negative emotions and the limiting beliefs, Time Line Therapy® is also used for goal setting in the future. By using SMART goal setting skills and Installing these well formed goals into a specific time in the future time line of the individual.

Emotional Releasing: Quickly releases negative emotions stored over years, providing relief from emotional burdens without having to relive the past. Leaving the person with a sense of peace and calm, like a heavy weight has been lifted.

Overcoming Limiting Beliefs: Helps to remove unconscious blocks that hinder success and happiness. Even going so far as to releasing limiting decisions so that many limiting beliefs can shift all at once.

Enhanced Decision-Making: Promotes clearer thinking and more positive future outcomes by resolving past conflicts.

Personal Empowerment: Boosts self-confidence and self-worth by reshaping past memories and creating a new positive outlook.

Learn More About Hypnosis
Hypnosis is the process of making change in the unconscious mind. The premise of hypnosis is that if a suggestion is allowed to bypass the barrier between the conscious and unconscious mind, then it has the power to change your beliefs and your behaviors.

Hypnosis is not mind control, during a trance induction, the client will be informed that they are in control. For example, if I tell you to stand up, and if it’s okay, you would, right? But if I told you to kick a dog, you wouldn’t do that. It’s the same in Hypnosis. The client is in charge. They will only accept the suggestions that are given that are consistent with their own internal values and beliefs.

All hypnosis is self hypnosis and you might think there is something about trance which is different from your “normal” state of consciousness, this is not true though. Going into trance is all about following the Practitioners directions. This means a Light Trance isn’t likely to feel any different from relaxing. Since trance is a normal, natural state, one will likely feel a feeling of familiarity, no matter how deep in trance one goes.

We tell clients “Don’t expect to feel zonked out and Do expect to feel relaxed.” Hypnosis is a natural state where you feel increasing levels of relaxation.

Trance is about learning how to go into trance. So the process to learn how to go into trance is just that, a learning process. To get comfortable with hypnosis there are tests along the way so we can see how well someone goes into trance. The more tests successfully completed the deeper one can go.

If you are an Unlicensed Practitioner: (This means someone who is not licensed by a state or national governmental body.) An unlicensed Hypnosis Practitioner should confine their practice to:
-
Smoking
-
Weight loss
-
Stress reduction
-
Habit control
-
Improved sleep
-
Motivation and Goal Achievement
-
Personal development
-
Some performance enhancement

If you are a Licensed Practitioner: A licensed Hypnosis Practitioner may work with additional issues, provided that those issues are consistent with the practitioner’s license and if the practitioner has been certified to practice hypnosis.
*Look up laws in regards to your state
